Shadow of a Doubt was filmed in Santa Rosa in 1943 and offers a neat peek into the city's architectural past. Most of the buildings shown in the film were destroyed and rebuilt following geologic activity that rocked Santa Rosa in 1969. Hitchcock's movie provides a lasting testament to the way downtown Santa Rosa looked before this natural disaster and can be fun to watch and compare with the modern cityscape.
